The ‘Staying strong –Act Connect Survive’ campaign aims to capture and reinforce the existing resilience of young Aboriginal people around drug and alcohol use and blood-borne viruses. The campaign was funded through the Ministry of Health and managed by the Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council. Posters and video and music clips have been developed in 10 communities during a 3 day workshop (in each community) which included drug and alcohol and blood borne virus education. With guidance from the Indigenous hip-hop band, the Last Kinection, these young people have come up with some great video clips with strong positive lyrics and music to tell their stories around these issues. The resources are available on the campaign website to download and print to “help our Mob deal with the hard times”.
