Update for Community Drug Action Teams

In August 2013 the Minister for Mental Health the Hon. Kevin Humphries announced the Australian Drug Foundation (ADF) as the successful tenderer for the Community Engagement and Action Program (www.adf.org.au/media-centre). The Community Engagement and Action Program supports Community Drug Action Teams or CDATs across NSW.

The Australian Drug Foundation has commenced management of the Community Engagement and Action Program and employed a new state manager, Ms Nikki Woolley, who will manage the Program. The ADF is also recruiting Senior Community Development Officers, who will provide support for CDAT activities.

Over the next few months the NSW Ministry of Health and the Australian Drug Foundation will provide updates, via the NSW Health website www.yourroom.com.au  and the ADF website www.adf.org.au  about the transition of the Community Engagement and Action Program to the Foundation. The ADF will be running the Small Grants Program in early 2014, so please keep a close eye on www.yourroom.com.au and www.adf.org.au .
